Search and post your resume on the NYS Job Bank
On the NYS Job Bank, you can:
- search open job opportunities
- post your resume so employers can find you
- sign up for emails about new job listings that interest you
The Department of Labor's Find a Job page also links to New York Hire Now for immediate openings, NY Seasonal Jobs, and apprenticeship programs.
Get help at a Career Center
Career Centers offer free help with your search, from advisors and workshops to job referrals, and the offices and phone numbers guide lists their addresses by city. The Career Center Event Calendar, linked from the Find a Job page, lists career fairs and recruitments across the state. If you are collecting unemployment, using Career Center resources counts as a work search activity.
Keep your work search record in JobZone
If you keep your Work Search Record online, the Department requires you to use JobZone, which also lets you search for jobs. JobZone saves each entry automatically, and it is available 24 hours a day, every day.
You sign in to the Department's job search services at labor.ny.gov/signin, the same page you use for unemployment benefits. The weekly claims guide lists what the record should show each week.
